Portable Wheel Chair RampBy Scott Nichols Anyone who has a disabled family member or friend who routinely needs to transport them along with their wheelchairs wherever they go, knows the difficulty of having to load that very heavy wheelchair in and out of a vehicle, especially the more heavy framed motorized wheelchairs they have nowadays. Portable wheelchair ramps have proved to ease the burden of these people as it allows a safe and effective way by which one can load and unload a wheelchair. This kind of wheelchair ramp is also portable and easy to carry around. For example, someone who drives a sedan will not find many uses for a portable wheelchair ramp; rather, anyone who drives a sedan must equip their home with ramps in the places where ramps are needed. A portable wheelchair ramp may be needed in a variety of situations, perhaps not in every situation, but given its portability and the innovative and much easier way for mobilization that it provides makes the purchase a wise idea. Remember that portable wheelchair ramps aren't just used to load wheelchairs into vans or cars, but they may also be placed at areas of our homes that will allow a disabled person to mobilize himself more easily in and around the house, allowing him/her to adjust to the environment in which he resides and thus providing greater freedom and independence as well.
